Crops are one of the main features of Grow a Garden, serving as the foundation of your farming empire. They are planted as seeds in your garden, which can be obtained from Tom's Shop, Seed Packs, Pet rewards, and special events. Seeds then grow into plants of various appearances and values, with growth times ranging from seconds to hours depending on their rarity and tier.

When fully grown, crops produce yield that can be harvested and sold at Tom's Stand for Sheckles, the game's primary currency. Players can also gift crops to other players or use them for crafting and special events. Up to 800 plants can be grown on a player's plot at once, making strategic crop selection crucial for maximizing profitability and garden efficiency.

The crop tier system spans from Common (gray frame) to Prismatic rarity, with each tier offering increasingly valuable rewards but requiring more substantial investments. Common crops like Carrots cost only 10 Sheckles and grow in 7 seconds, while Prismatic crops like Sugar Apple cost 25,000,000 Sheckles and represent the ultimate farming achievement.
